If you think this hussein obama character won't use executive orders to try to infringe on the Second Amendment in any and every way he can, then you simply have another "think" coming.
We are in for an incredibly tough "four years" and executive orders are only going to be part of that!
If hussein gets one more justice on the Supreme Court then the previous rulings on the Second Amendment are "null and void" for all intents and purposes.
I simply think you do not fully understand the horrific nature of hussein obama - he would stop at nothing to "change" this country into the socialist/communist style country he wants.
If you think an "interpretaion" that you and some others have regarding what excutive orders can and cannot do will stop this fiend and his regime from "accomplishing their goals" then you are simply suffering under delusion!
This turd and his merry band of followers is simply worse and more sophisticated than any previous Chicago style thug politician has previoulsy attained!
Never trust a turd or a communist under ANY circumstance - and hussein obama is both those in SPADES.

I actually agree with #2 TO AN EXTENT.

I don't think that any of us would argue that the mentally ill should have guns.

I just worry about how loosely "mentally ill" might be defined.

Two thirds of the campfire might have to take up quilting....

Ron, since the issue involves the suspension of a constitutionally protected right I think you'll find there must be a judicial action before those rights can be suspended (barring exigent circumstances, like a guy running around naked and clucking like a chicken).

It lists:

1) Increased prosecutions of lying on the 4473 - 71,000 failed background checks, but only 77 prosecutions
2) Better funding for the NICS database to get those judged mentally ill added to it
3) Increased federal prosecutions of gun crime, to prevent state jails from releasing criminals too early


#2 has to be watched, but can't think of anybody that disagrees with #1/#3. But both of those also fall into "Enforce the laws we have now".


The article also talks about adding in the terrorist watch list, aka the "no-fly" list to NICS. That's an absolute non-starter since there's no oversight or requirements for who gets added, no due process to appeal it, etc.
