2 teachers and 2 other SCHOOL employees were among 50 charged in an online child-sex sting. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/01/1...-online-child-sex-sting/?test=latestnewsSo much for the people we entrust our children to. So much for the people we let mold our children's minds. No wonder people home-school their kids when teachers turn out to be perverts.

They arrested another teacher for the same thing in the Tyler area last week, too.
I didn't see a lot of protests and rioting. Must mean that folks around here see it as the INDIVIDUAL, not the group that's a threat. Imagine that.

It's amazing how many teachers get caught in child pornography stings. Sad situation (for the kids).

Ed The issue with cops is that they have the authority of the state backing them up to the point of lethal force should anyone choose to resist a crooked one, so a bad cop is many times more a danger to society than a bad plumber, baker, or teacher.

Hum maybe obama should outlaw teachers! Hum maybe obama should outlaw teachers! It's amazing how many teachers get caught in child pornography stings. Sad situation (for the kids). Its amazing how many of them actually get caught with their hand in some students cookie jar.

yes...you just had to make it about coppers, didn't you! I think that was the point, no? He thought he was getting me back for my expressed concerns about corruption among policemen. Were I a baker, he would have dug up some stories about bakers poisoning people's bread or something.

And if he had posted something about bakers you would still have turned it into a cop fest.

My wife & I are retired teachers, with me retiring a year and a half ago after 35 years. Seems that this type of thing is getting more & more prevalent not only in schools, but all of society. There is more & more of an overall moral decay in our culture & child sex abuse, embezzlement, drug use, etc.are the new norm for many. Sad. But there are bad apples everywhere, in every career, and yes, even in the teaching field. Here in NY we now have finger printing & background checks for all new teacher applicants, but some commit the crimes like child/sex After they get the job. That is a line I could never conceive of crossing - I am a dad with 6 kids, 2 of which are now teachers themselves. A 42 year old female teacher in a school north of us had a New Years eve party for students & stupidly, served Alcohol. How do you even begin to explain that? Idiot.

Because you're trying to get kids drunk so you can take advantage of them.

TRH, I can't ever remember a bad cop who was not worked by either his own agency or another law enforcement agency. When a cop commits a crime, it's other cops who investigate it. Code of silence is a media thing. When a cop is ordered to report to professional standards, he either talks or is fired for insubordination.

Probably always been there, but with computers, texting and better sources of victim reporting, more cases are coming to light. Dang electronics leave that incriminating paper trail.

TRH, Years ago, cops were the least likely professionals to engage in unethical and/or criminal conduct. Lawyers, physicians, and other professionals were more likely to engage in unethical and/or criminal behavior. I have no clue on current stats of professionals who are least likely to engage in unethical/illegal conduct. It seems as though I can't read a news source that doesn't have an a story of at least one lawyer who's suspected of criminal activity. I was told by an extremely reliable source that 30% of medical professional abuse prescription drugs, and they're often charged with fraud. You live in Florida, the state in which pain clinic physicians dole out narcotics like Obama doles out cell phones. I know of a lawyer who represented an ER physician who was busted three times for illegal possession of drugs. After his third arrest, the lawyer told him that his medical license was gone. The lawyer who represented this physician later got his ass in a big jam with CA Bar Association for serious transgressions. If you get a chance, read: "Society's Victims: The Police" by Berkeley (Read: extremely liberal) educated psychologist. In the preface, he wrote that he had an anti-cop bias going in to his research. As he delved into the profession, he did a 180 and actually became an ardent supported of men of honor & character. Just a thought...

The problem teachers face is students falsely accusing teachers of sexual misconduct. Students know that any claim of sexual misconduct in which a minor is an alleged victim will trigger a law enforcement investigation. Once an allegation is made, the stigma remains long after it's proved false.

Just a goofy-assed thought... Tell me, RISJR, how do your peers view you? What's your Martindale rating? How many lawyers have hired you? That's right, you squat on the lowest rung of the attorney ladder. What's the name of the online diploma mill that sold you a JD?
