Recovering bullets is pretty darn rare, but here are two from Africa. On the far right, from a springbok shot at 215 yds. Mostly lengthwise through the body. It lost a bunch of weight, maybe 50%. I have forgotten.
Next the same bullet from an Eland shot at about 60 yds broadside, centered the heart and came to rest under the skin at the base of neck on the other side. This bullet lost very little weight - maybe 3-4 grs at most.
The unfired bullets are the same 535 grs of 40:1
