Plenty of deer stalking in Ireland, both North and South, also feral goat as well I think..
They have Red, Sika, and Fallow deer.
Sorry, but I don't have any contacts over there to give you any more help; but its an area I'd like to stalk myself one day..

Afraid you'll probably get nothing in the summer. Not certain on dates in Northern Ireland, but in the Republic, our deer season runs September to February. All birds are in the same period as well. You might get some pigeon shooting over crops, but it probably won't be easy unless you know someone already. Just the wrong time of year really.

One good thing is that summer runs to 21 sept For the outdoor enthousiast, Ireland's rivers and sea waters are known as excellent fishing destinations. Since i visited western Eire 13 years ago, I always wanted to go back there for fishing.

I dunno grand veneur, whether there's a summer at all is up for debate really! You're right about the fishing though. Whether it be fly-fishing for trout or salmon or sea-fishing, it's some of the best sport we have.

Remembering their western weather in January, I'd rather ask if the have a winter .... In Belgium we have only two seasons: fall and winter

Ireland has a summer?! Been living here nearly 24 years now. Still optimistic that I might see one sometime!

I tend to go to Ireland (Co. Clare) during our Wisconsin winters. While not as warm as our southern states, it's still rather mild and the pubs are toasty warm! Never hunted there but just shooting 'clays' will get the attention of your wallet. WN
