The Winchester website reports a Model 70 Featherweight in 7x57 as a SHOT Show Special. They list it as having a 26 inch barrel, two inches longer than any other of that model. Was this the usual length of barrel at some time in the past?

A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

Winchester has been plagued with a LOT of mistakes on their webpage the last few weeks. Looking at the weight, I'd go 22 or 24" as it lines up with other models.
The 264 I believe, as they introduced a few models last year with 26" barrels in 264, and pretty much all their belted mags feature 26" tubes now.

I'm really drooling over the 264 EW

I have a custom .264 on a NH action, but I'll be adding one of these as well.

If the FW 7x57 is a 22" barrel,I might want one of those just so that Ingwe will think there is redemption for a 270 fan
The 280 Remington is overbore.
The 7 Rem Mag is over bore.

I picked up the last two Shot Show Specials in August and October. At that rate, I figure December at the earliest. I think I'll hold off and see what the special is in 2014

264's and 7X57's....
Grab a 7Mag or a 7-08. No one will know the difference, except some head stamp freak.
The animals you pop with it sure as hell won't know.
