FWIW,I decided to draw out for archery bull in 76 years ago and glad I did. I did the same with 61, now I can hunt bulls in units that take 1 or 2 points without worrying about losing all my points.
A wise man is frequently humbled.

Thanks for the information gentlemen. After talking to the CO hunt planners I have narrowed my choices down to a ml tag in units 3, 11, or 12. I hope to talk to a couple outfitter at the Harrisburg PA show.

There are 0-2 point units that are as good or better than the so called premium units. Put some field time in and you'd be surprised what you can find. Same goes for deer.
Seems like so many think it takes a pile of points to take a big animal in CO, and overlook so much opportunity.

It took me 20 years to draw unit 201,CO, I'm almost 70 now.I hunt every year now, bulls cows, whatever, but I neve missed a season when accumulationg those points and took and elk every year. In this day and age, hunters need to set thie bar lower and hunt what they can.Hunting a cow is a lot better than sitting home wishing you were hunting a bull
If God wanted you to walk and carry things on your back, He would not have invented stirrups and pack saddles
