Is $700 a good price for a used one?

That's a good price; the 5" versions go for that or a bit more depending on condition.

5 or 6 inch barrel. Yeah, I think that's an okay price. It's like, nothin's really a good price anymore, but by today's standards, I don't think you're getting ripped off assuming it's in pretty good shape.

For a high conditon gun with factory grips that is a fair price.

Around here, the 629-5 seems to be the preferred version and commands a premium over the -6.
$700 is very good for one in great shape.

It turns out that it is a 629-6. Seems to be in good shape.
I will take delivery in 10 days. Well 10 days after they get the black Handgun Safety cards. LOL
