...leaving unionized civilian defense workers benefits untouched.

Obama To Cut Healthcare Benefits For Military
(Washington Free Beacon)

The Obama administrations proposed defense budget calls for military families and retirees to pay sharply more for their healthcare, while leaving unionized civilian defense workers benefits untouched. The proposal is causing a major rift within the Pentagon, according to U.S. officials. Several congressional aides suggested the move is designed to increase the enrollment in Obamacares state-run insurance exchanges.

The disparity in treatment between civilian and uniformed personnel is causing a backlash within the military that could undermine recruitment and retention.

Wondering if the current commander in chief has ever considered that he could potentially push the military too far?

His audacity is unmatched!

At least when he promised a "transparent administration", he's living up to it here. He hides nothing when it comes to his disdain for the military, and his pandering to the unions.

Under the Obama admin you know you are screwed when He goes out his way to support an organization in the media.

I knew military families were plucked when they trotted out Moochelle to proclaim that she really really cares for the military.

When the truth is both Barry and Moochelle despise and want to destroy the military and their families.

Maybe our Obama (the marxist) supporters here can explain this to us....

A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”

Rumor on the street if we want to keep tricare we will have to close to 5 grand a year to keep it... Tri care is pretty good for dependents.. But it's going to force majority of us to go into obamacare frown

Already scheduled to happen to retirees living more than 100 miles from a military base, as I do. I will no longer have the option of TriCare Prime but be shuffled off to TriCare Standard. I will need several $K on hand for medical care as needed annually. They were kind enough to remind me TriCare Standard was what the only standard mandated by law.

I enlisted in '84 and remember quite well being told about free medical care for life. I'm doing just fine, thanks, but can't imagine what this does for the E-6, still awaiting his disability rating, while he deals with medical issues and raises a family.
