Does anyone use a synthetic stocked T3 with a tight sling from field positions? I currently shoot a walnut stocked Sako with a sling which I keep nice and tight, but am thinking of changing to a T3 Lite Stainless for weight savings. Has anyone with any experience with one noticed any changes in POI shooting from various field positions with a sling? I know the stocks have come in for a bit of criticism for being flimsy, but just looking to ascertain how big an issue this is, whether I might need to think about getting an aftermarket one of some kind.

If you move a sling up front from under you hand to over it, the point of impact at 500 yards can move 4-7"

So the answer depends

Guess it depends on how tight of MOA you can shoot from field position... whistle

They ain't that flimsy.

FWIW, I used a sling on my No.1 with no appreciable effect in field conditions and that attaches directly to the barrel.

Sounds good guys! I thought they seemed pretty reasonable when I handled them before, but never had a sling on one or anything. They're nice rifles. I know a lot of people don't like the amount of plastic and such, particularly the magazine design, and I understand that, but seems like there's a lot to like about a six and a bit pound rifle that shoots as well as the Tikkas seem to!
