I killed this little sow after a quick stalk a few weeks ago. Year round hog hunting really helps mitigate the end-of-deer-season blues. laugh

A friend smoked the meat and it was very tender and delicious. I can't wait to do it all over again.

Sure looks tasty!

I'd rather have a bad day hunting than a good day working!

Very nice! I hope to find one as big and 'cooperative' at the end of the month.

Congratulations! It looks like you had a good time.

That's one of the things to love about Texas: no matter what time of year it is, you can always go hog hunting.

What rifle, caliber, and bullet did you use?

Good job. Thanks for sharing.

Fun and helps the native wildlife.
I have become a much better shot with all shooting under actual hunting conditions on pigs. The shots can vary from close moving targets during a stalk in cover, medium shots at multiple targets from a rest to longer shots in low light conditions.
Even helped my blood tracking.
Our populations are lower now after the drought and a long deer hunting season, but they bounce back quickly.

TP, Are you seeing any during daylight, or, did you bust her at night? All the hogs that I am getting pix of are after dark. I did manage to kill two "wierdos" during daylight hours.

I am heading out friday to try my luck again. Good shootin!

Nice rifle. Keep up the good work on helping control the hog population down there!

Thx. I see them just before dark mostly and I mean that last five minutes before things get black. Good luck with your hunt.

Chit. If I get a chance to hit a squirrel, I floor it! The SOB's cost me a lot of money!
