The soon to be wife and I will be in the Myrtle Beach area for our honeymoon in mid may and I was wondering if anyone had any good charter recommendations. Would prefer offshore but having never fished saltwater before am pretty much open to anything. Any advise would be appreciated.

I would definitely go South out of Garden City or Murrells Inlet. Several of the boats at the inlet have moved to FL but hit the marina at the South end and they will put you on the hot Captains. Also, consider Georgetown, which is about an hour South of Pawleys. You can hit warm water 2 hours quicker from there.

Fishing off the rocks at the south end gates at Garden City is also worthwhile.
