FN Mauser 98 / J.C. Higgins Model 50 sporter rebored to 338-06 (standard - not the �improved� version). 22 inch barrel. Cut rifled, 1 in 12 twist. Has low scope safety and has rear sight dovetail on barrel boss plugged with dovetail blank. Wears original FN/Higgins ramp front sight. Ring and bridge drilled and tapped for scope mounts (Leupold style two piece bases and rings included as well as a Tasco 3-9 scope). Side of receiver bridge is also drilled and tapped for a receiver sight. Original Higgins walnut stock and buttplate. Very nice condition with indications of only normal use (not abuse), perfect bore.
