to try a different technique with the casting. I put a small 2x4 block under the spout to rest the mould on at about the right height. Got the melt hot, dipped the Accurate mould in the melt for about 30-45 seconds, fluxed the melt good and started casting.
A BIG difference from when I was holding the mould up against the spout. I started getting good bullets almost from the get go and my rejection rate dropped to less than 5% rather than hovering around 40-50% as it had been. The bullets were beautiful!

Thanks for the tip, Mickey. I've been going to try putting a block under the spout of my bottom pour pot, but not because I thought it would help make better bullets. I was going to do it because I'm lazy and my 6 cavity 310 gr. mould gets kinda' heavy.
I haven't cast anything in about a month, but I'm going to give the block a try next time I do.
4 out of 5 Great Lakes prefer Michigan.
