My creative juices just aren't flowing and I'm just drawing a blank. Putting on a kids long range shooting class in the spring and haven't come up with a name. More heads are better than 1 and like to hear some suggestions.
One suggestion I've already got was, Long Rangers Shooting Camp.
Thanks, Chuck

Chuck, I'm not too creative, but if you need help with the camp I'd love to try to make it out and help. That'd be a blast.

The camp is for Hunting age youth. Here in Wy that's 12 but if they can pass hunters saftey, good enough for me. Not sure an 18 year old will want to go to a camp called "Little Lone Rangers".
Tanner if your under 18 you wouldn't be helping you'd be in it, which is better cause you'd get to shoot more.

Careful, Tanner's really a 68 year-old guy with a rap sheet as long as your arm.......
Just kidding. If it's in Wyoming and it's long-range, I'd have the word "wind" in the name somewhere, like "Wind-tamers" or something that sounds better.

I'll be 19 by then, and I've worked with kids a ton... Just thought it'd be a thought.
Hope the camp is a blast!

There's nothing better than teaching kids to shoot, no matter how old or young you are. And I'd venture to say that Tanner probably knows his stuff better than most twice or three times his age. He has no gray hair though, and that's definitely a negative.

If you use a "snipery" name the kids will love it. Parents may or may not, though.

Sounds like something I wish I could've done when I was younger!

4 day camp. Hopefully this camp won't be for teaching kids "how" to shoot (the basics) but more geared toward shooting past point blank range in order to get them ready for hunting season. There will be classroom instruction, .22 and centerfire hunting rifle shooting. A Goal of making accurate shots out to 400 yds, further, depending on experience and skill level.
Tenative date of June 12-15 Won't know for sure till it gets closer.
Tanner, I'll keep you in mind as we can always use more help.

I'd go with a Red Dawn theme. Maybe something like Camp Wolverines!

The movie Red Dawn is an iconic film that taught (mostly generation X'ers) to hate communism and urinate in radiators while drinking deer blood and killing communists. The age group you are targeting wouldn't get it. Travis

Admitedly a week connection, however a play on words related to the Long Ranger and Tonto is more for Ingwe's generation... Carry on

Ridge to Ridge Rifle Camp with logo. Gives kids the Tacti-cool look but not scary to parents? Maybe change the subtext to say LONG RANGE YOUTH MARKSMANSHIP

I'd avoid anything kiddie-centric.
Instead, follow the military naming convention and name it after someone memorable.
Kyle Range would seem worthy to me, in honor of the late Chris Kyle.
