the 308W is not as good as a 7mm-08. Sincerly Ty Now there's an interesting comment...if not a bit foolish For $100. an A-7 all the way! I saw that too. I have more 30 caliber stuff laying around than anything else including bullet molds, lots of brass and dies. I'm pretty sure a 308 will kill anything here in CO even though I use a 375 Ruger.

The importation of the A7 has not stopped. The selection of calibers has been drastically cut - 270WSM and 300WSM only at this time, and then only in the Tecomote version (A7 w/B&C stock).
I never thought I'd grow up to be a grumpy old man, but I did, and I'm killin' it.

I own a A7 with the old style stock...I hunt with the rifle in the fall and winter in PA. and NY. and its always cold at that time of the year and it seems that I'm always wearing some kind of light gloves...the soft touch stock would not be much of an upgrade in my hunting conditions but I can see that if you were bare-handed it would be a plus....regards....bearit...
