Excellent condition Marlin Model 39 TDS for sale. This is a JM stamped gun S/N 01979 Mid 90's at the original Marlin Plant in North Haven, Connecticut. The TDS is a very rare model with a 16" barrel, short forearm, and straight stock. Comes with scope mount and hammer extender, factory take-down carry case zipper has a bad spot, you have to go easy over it. I bought this gun new and use it very little.

Just a quick story of the Model 39
Our family farm in West Virginia
My Grandfather divided up the 265 acre farm between his children one of which received the old farm house and pond.
Omar decided one day to sell his share and move to Florida. He left in the fall and there were many ducks and geese on the pond. No buyer for the property yet so all those ducks were there to fend for them self�s. No problem, but I had told my 3 boys that those ducks may have a hard time surviving the winter. Being the ages 10, 12 and 12 they wanted to go shoot them all. I told them they would have to pick all they shot so we could eat them.
They got on a 4 wheeler pulling a hay wagon and rode the mile down the road to the pond. Model 39 in hand they shot about 10 of those ducks. Returning to the house laughing and bragging how fun that was, I just smiled. They spent hours plucking all those ducks. To this day we laugh about it. Lesson learned.

Horrible day at work, just getting logged on. Thanks for the heads up. I'll let you know when it gets here.
