What if any mail order companies do campfire members use to outfit their string? I haven't been able to find one that specializes in pack equipment with a decent website. I like to touch the pack and tack gear I buy, maybe that's why one doesn't exist.

Walkers in Oregon. I think it is wallkersaddlery.com, but you might have to search on Google.

Very good qulality tack/ pack outfits. None of it is cheap though, but prices are some better than Wyoming Outdoors.

I seldom get into this room as most of the posts are about burnin' gas and makin' noise as a friend would say.

I've used Walkers, also
Chick's Saddlery http://www.chicksaddlery.com/
State Line Tack www.statelinetack.com
Country Supply http://www.horse.com/Default.aspx?
Valley Vet http://www.valleyvet.com/index.html

What kind of tack are you looking for?

Actually guys I am thinking about starting a mail order pack and outfitter supply company. it's in the development stage, if it looks promising I may have it up and running by 0307...
I would be interested in your coments and suggestions.

Carry only quality items, and bend over back wards for customer service.

SaddleSore,
Yep, that is why I am looking into it. My headquarters is in Franktown, eventually I will be conducting some marketing surveys and would be honored if you and anyone else on the Campfire would be willing to participate. Probably involve copious amounts of Barbecue and refreshments!

RLM,

Check out Back Country Horsemen of America as they have state organizations such as the BCHO which have annual clinics where you can check out your would be competitors.
