This has never happened to me before. While seating some 168 grain Ballistic Tips in .30-06, the bullets are sticking in the seater plug. The dies are virtually new (RCBS) and I'd used them before with the same bullet. Can't figure it out. Anyone? Thanks, mtmuley

Burrs (sharp edge) inside the seater plug need to be lightly buffed out. You may also notice a ring (indentation looks like a cut or mar) around the bullet where it makes contact too. A slight crimp will also help.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I was a bit flustered since the die seemed to work previously. I wrapped some sandpaper around the bullet of a dummy round, polished the seater, and it seems to work fine. Thanks bsa1917hunter. Headed for the range in a bit. mtmuley
