Great shooting and handling rifle that has been all over Alaska. I have owned it since 2006 but have decided to go with a bolt action for my 375 so this one needs to find a new home.

This is not a perfect rifle it has been hunted. There is no rust but there are a few marks on the barrel from when it took a fall in Valdez on the rocks.

The front sling swivel mount had to be filed slightly for it to work with locking sling swivels. I did this after the non locking one came unhooked and allowed the rifle to drop free from my shoulder and onto the rocks.

Shoots everything great I have fed it. Anything from 225gr flat tips to 300gr Barnes TSX.

Good guy to deal with here... He left the part out on the 9foot Kodiak bear the rifle killed as well... Anyhow to the top for a great buy

Pretty sure winchester never chambered the 35 Whelen in the model 70... As many number 1 junkies on here I thought this thing be gone...

Custom shop did, or people rebarrel them. He never said it had to be a factory stock 70.

Free bump...if I did not already have this same Ruger combo it might be gone.
