We've got a Few timbers moving into the area here and I want some of your opinions as to whether this is a young wolf or a huge yote? (date is off on the camera)

Keep in mind where I live there are no wolves, and rarely does a coyote have a pelt of quality... But the ears look rounded and the nose looks shorter.

I retired from the Johns Manville asbestos pop tart factory in ‘59, and still never made the connection.—-Slumlord

We have some huge yotes here, but that looks like a wolf to me. The wildlife officers tell you that so you don't pressure them to open a season and hunt. The same thing has happened to hogs in Kansas.

If there are "no wolves" there and you can shoot yotes, then I say happy hunting sir.

Exactly! I gotta ask...did the wolf have a collar on? It looks like it in the pic. Nice shooting BTW.

I figured as much, funny how he showed up on camera in an area with no wolves. And I know for a fact that there aren't any here because the Dnr told me so... ;-)

Coyotes are nice and fully at that time of the year.
Unless its a big as a deer, it's a yote - compare some pictures from the same camera
