I finally mounted my Leupy FX2 4x28 handgun scope scout style on my Rossi 92 .454. Need to get it to the range for the sight in still, but now I'm thinking slings. This is going to be my main carry for spring bear and sometimes I go into the woods a good distance. I enjoy the thought of a rifle slung across my shoulder with no bolt digging into my ribs. Getting pretty excited about this!
What are my options, and what are you guys using who have slings on your lever guns? Model 92 or similar advice please. Thank you.

Really anything light works. I have a cobra sling on one and a mountain sling on another. I just ordered a horsehair sling for a third.

Is there a special mount for the fore end? The wood is far too thin to drill and screw in a standard rifle sling.

Do you guys know what the product # of that clamp is? I went to a couple local shops the other day and the clamps they had looked too small, but I haven't measured the tube to accurately judge.
I've got her sighted in, zeroed at 100, shooting just under 2 moa with current load - 240 xtp mag and enforcer. Good enough to kill stuff, but needs some tweeking. Haven't checked on the accuracy of my 300 xtp mag load yet, guess I need to get back to the range...
Thanks for your help.

I don't know about the front sling stud because I have one in the foreend on my guide gun but I really like Pat's Montana Sling that is an adjustable leather sling.

The product I found at the shops was 1441 and fits a rem 760. Online I found 1331, but did not have a list of firearms just measurements.
I have the Montana sling on my m70 300wsm, but went too wide - I think 1.5". Thought the wider sling would carry the weight of that pig better. Without a pack on I love that sling, it just won't stay on my shoulder when wearing a pack. I do love its adjustability though.

I use 1" Montana Slings on mine This is the way to go. Way more comfortable than you'd think. And well made. Like, last forever, well made. I'm a huge fan of Ballistol for all things. Especially leather. .
