NIB Gen3's were 499.99-549.99 depending on which shop you were at.

I saw an obviously heavily used Gen 3 G21 today for 649.99.

Cabelas in Nebraska the la vista location had some glock 23 used law enforcemnet models for $449 marked down $40 so $409. Some of them were just hardly broken in and came with 2 or 3 mags depending on the gun. I know that is a used price on a gen 3 but that was just over a month ago.

Doc why the upgraded striker? Do you also use the marine cups?

I have heard it adds reliability but it seems any reasonable cleaning regiment would take care of that but fill me in if I am missing something.

Yes, the marine cup, too. My Glock smith includes them in all his enhancement jobs, says they cost something like $4 and in his opinion make the gun even more unbreakable.

As for "reasonable cleaning regimen", I would agree with you... my problem is that when I'm shooting a lot, like in the peak of summer/IDPA season, my "reasonable cleaning regimen" gets a bit spotty...
blush

I took a G17 with the enhanced action I've described to a 5-day advanced pistol class at Chapman Academy a few years ago, and fired close to 4000 rounds through it over the week. My car's water pump exploded during that class, and between the hassles of getting it fixed so I could drive home and a SEAL hell-week level beer call after class on Friday, I never got around to cleaning my Glock. I carried it daily for the next week, then shot an IDPA match the following Saturday with it. The gun performed flawlessly, and I have to say I give a good bit of credit to my smith's action job for that.

I don't think that was the best price I could have got on a G19, but buying the gun from one of the best G-smiths out there means a bit more to me than it might to others.

What I've seen lately for gen3's is about $550, NIB. That's still close to a C-note over what they were going for last fall.

I don't get why anyone would want any of the NY triggers, but it sounds like you shoot alot and know what you like. I actually like the glock trigger as is.

Please explain "underwater striker" and "marine cup" for the uninitiated.
