I need to disassemble an old 44-40 M92 to replace the cartridge stop spring but can not find any good information on the internet on how to do so. Do any of you know a good place to look for instructions?

Jack First Inc has a 3 volume parts book set that covers shotguns, handguns and rifles for $40. Well worth it. They have exploded view assemblies

Here's some instructions. They're for a Rossi but it's still a '92.

Absolutely...

Steve is THE '92 mechanic.

Those guns are not easy to work on. Timing of the action is a big deal and not many know how to do that. Steve does.

I like to work on gun and have a fair amount of experience. I sent my 100 yr. old Win '92 to Steve.

He's also good with the clones. If you want to buy a Rossi, etc., you save money by getting one directly from Steve. He will go thru it and have it humming. Beats the cost of back and forth, etc. and his prices aren't bad.

IMHO.

Thanks to all. I got a new spring from Numrich and was able to install it with no problems. The old girl now runs as if new.
