I just recently found out about the TRCP through a variety of Steven Rinella's (host of Meat Eater) YouTube videos. After watching his videos I reached out to my state representatives through the TRCP website about different issues like the Conservation Funding, Alaska's Tongass National Forest & other conservation issues.

I just received a letter (attached below) from my Congressman, Tom Cole that I thought you guys might find worth reading.

While I appreciate Mr. Cole's response along with his facts & figures, I believe he is ignoring the billions of dollars of revenue sportsman contribute to our economy each year & the main reasons we are in a "fiscal cliff" is because of the decisions that congressmen, such as him, have made. I felt his letter was a political way of saying he has a bigger agenda to tend to (aka screw off). I hope Mr. Cole includes himself in the "sacrifices" that he speaks of in his letter by cutting back on the hundreds of thousands of dollars he's spent on his campaign and media expenses.


Anyone have other thoughts on this?

No skin in the game...certainly not evident from his letter. That's the problem, Congress' penalty for irresponsibility is more gravy train for them.

"everyone must be prepared to sacrifice to shore up America's finances..."

That is a bit troubling.
