I bought shooter for my phone today and was playing with it a little bit. Took a couple screen shots to hopefully get some info from you guys. So I input some data for my 243 with two different bullets. The 105gr amax and 95gr hunting vld. Take a look at the numbers that came up.

I'm using these same numbers for both bullets

Here is the berger bullet info

And the amax info. Disregard the drops on the right. They are for the vld

Now here are the drops for the two bullets

So all things the same (I think), these bullets are pretty much equal out at the 1000 yard mark. I've got almost 2 boxes of Bergers and maybe 3/4ths of a box of amax. Would You stick with the Bergers or go ahead and work up a load with the amax and shop for more? If I remember right, the last time I played with them, they shot pretty equal during initial load tests but I only shot a few test loads of each before I went back to working up a 95gr btip load for hunting season. If I messed something up with the shooter app, please fill me in as I'm still very green with it and just played with some numbers this evening

The 95gr vld is a wicked bullet. I have taken a few animals with it and love it. I like the vld design and they shoot well. I have just started load development on the 105amax so no first hand experience but many people like them. I would run whichever shot better in your rifle.

Hey Cole, if the Bergers shoot for you I've got 85 if them Moly'd up that I can bounce your way. If you don't shoot moly, just tumble them for an hour and they'll be good as new.

Sweet! Thanks buddy, I'll let ya know. I'm thinking I might play with them first until components start showing back up on the shelf. My luck would be shooting up all my amaxs to find a good load and having none left to blast stuff with!
