For 25 years or so I have had this stuff in a drawer ..

[img:left][Linked Image][/img]

It kept calling to me, so I ordered a Shaw 24in. Bbl. With a 10 twist
And some flutes, blued.

While I was waiting I found a Stevens 200/270 Win.(gasp) that I hadnt shot in a while

[img:left][Linked Image][/img]

So I pulled that 200 apart, it was in a Boyds JRS stock that I bedded years ago

disassembled the barreled action and saved the 270 Bbl. For a later date

Not long after I placed the order the Shaw Bbl. Arrived (no pix) and I put it all back to gather

[img:left][Linked Image][/img]

Put it on the scales, weighed 9Lbs. 5oz. and 8 of those little marks

Got to shoot it some last fall, seeme to like
168 Amax, and 130 Hornady SP (crows?)

Here's two 168 Amax loads, one full power and one
about 60%, more fun to shoot!

The circle is 1in.
I hope this is in the right place and all proper.

Try 71gr RL-22 with some 180 TTSXs (CCI250 primers) and see how you do!

A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”

Thanks Jorge, I think that the rifle will shoot better than I can hold!

Nice rifle. I've been thinking about getting a 300 H&H myself...
