The voters did NOT vote for a Santa Claus in 2010.

They did vote to return a charismatic black Santa Claus last year.

The margin was small and a charismatic Conservative with a strong message could have brought the voters back to the polls. The voters that turned out in 2010 but stayed home in 2012.

Santa Claus aint doing so good right now:
A Reuters/Ipsos online poll released on Wednesday showed 43 percent of people approve of Obamas handling of his job, down 7 percentage points from February 19.

Most of that steep drop came in the week to February 26 when it was becoming clear that Washington was going to be unable to put aside partisan differences and agree to halt automatic budget cuts which started last Friday.

Confounding the White Houses efforts to blame Republicans for the cuts, most respondents in the online survey hold both Democrats and Republicans responsible.

Gallup has Obama approval down 7 percentage points from late February.

We don't need a revolution folks. We need a candidate that does not dismiss whole segments of the population. One that is financially secure, with allies for support. No tea partiers. A moderate outlook. It is tough to find rich people that can relate to the middle class, and it takes rich people to run for President. I believe in limiting the amount of spending for campaigns.

Do you really such a candidate exists? All I see are candidates trying to appeal to the Crazy Base and have no chance of attracting any voters from the middle in a general election, thus failing to win. It is nice to claim to be a conservative but the nation does not want the Palin's, Bachmann's or Santorum's of the world any where near the White House.

It will take a candidate that can attract enough of the base and shuts the door on the social issues, thus attracts voters from the middle. I have no problem with a fiscal conservative but the social conservatives, or those who pretend to be a social conservative ( Mitt, Newt, Cain ) are simply a waste of time. The country is just not Socially Conservative.

We now have a higher percentage of poor in this country and many, many more on welfare, food stamps, etc. than we've seen in many years. The dems are already king of the give-away programs and that translates into votes for them. I don't see how a conservative or even a RINO has a chance.

Reagan showed us the way. Someone who conveys traditional American conservatism in a competent and persuasive manner, and clearly isn't ashamed of it, will win in a landslide. Keep ignoring his lesson and keep losing, though. Be my guest. We're circling the drain already anyway. Next stop, Venezuela-USA.

Reagan could reach over the MSM and across demographic and political boundaries to touch folks with his message. That is how you win landslides. Voter Turnout.

There are enough Conservative Hispanics, Blacks, Asians, and whatever to join with the White Conservatives to do it again.

Demographics my aching ass. This country is still over 70 percent white.
Politics my aching ass. The last Conservative Landslide was just over two years ago.

2010 census:
White 72.4%
Hispanics 16.4%
Black 12.6%
Asians 4.8%

LOL. The self appointed moron of the Fire, aka Northern Fairy ,proves once again why he holds that title.Gallup polls over the last four years have clearly illustrated this nation is still socially conservative by a wide margin.

Members know that you have to denounce morality in order to support your Homo-in-Chief.Members also know that the Demonrat party is the party of the morally bankrupt.

Tombo never mentioned voter fraud. What he proffered were sensible regulations that would ensure a lawful election.Your reaction to his post clearly illustrates your quilty feelings about elections.Your "angry white guys" quote ,that by the way wasn't even a sentence,is another illustration of the "white guilt and self loathing" you liberals feel.

Remember that it is all about jobs!

You're so f"ing stupid that you make it too easy rip your ignorant comments.

If it's about jobs how do you account for the fact there are 8.5 million fewer jobs since Obama took office?

So it's not really about jobs,is it? Your post about your self loathing, white guilt tells us all we need to know about why you voted for Obama.

You are an ass-hole. LMAO.

Hence, you need a celebrity: likeable to enough of the population, that the voters will want to connect with him/her, regardless of media spin.

Start looking for a conservative celebrity. Hell, why not Adam Corolla? Oh wait... we'll prolly need the women vote...

How 'bout Tom Selleck? He's still got his hair, I think...

Of course, he's almost as old as Reagan was at his swearing-in: we likely need a young guy.

A good time and place to start looking for a conservative, celebrity or not, will be in the first battle March 14-16 at CPAC.

The growing jousting lists include;
U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte
U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann; former U.S. Representative Ann Marie Beurkle; U.S. Representative Diane Black; U.S. Representative Marsha Blackburn; former Florida Governor Jeb Bush

Producer, Writer and Consultant Pat Caddell; U.S. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor; Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery Dr. Benjamin Carson; U.S. Senator Tom Coburn; U.S. Senator Ted Cruz; Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli

Former U.S. Representative Artur Davis; U.S. Representative Sean Duffy and Rachel Campos-Duffy; Heritage Foundation President-Elect Jim DeMint

Heritage Foundation President Dr. Edwin Feulner; ACU Board Member Carly Fiorina
Former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Newt Gingrich

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal; U.S. Senator Ron Johnson; Producer Mark Joseph
NRA President and ACU Board Member David Keene; Screenwriter Howie Klausner
NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre

U.S. Senator Mike Lee; Mayor of Saratoga Springs; UT Mia Love
Former U.S. Representative Connie Mack; U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell; Producer Gerald Molen;
Radio Host and Breitbart TV Editor in Chief Larry OConnor

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin; U.S. Senator Rand Paul; Texas Governor Rick Perry; U.S. Representative Tom Price
U.S. Senator Marco Rubio; U.S. Representative Paul Ryan

Former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum; U.S. Representative Steve Scalise; Eagle Forum Founder Phyllis Schlafly; U.S. Senator Tim Scott; Director and Writer John Sullivan

U.S. Senator Pat Toomey; Donald Trump
Former U.S. Representative Allen West; and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.

As for meIm sticking with the Jousting Champion from last year. Palin blew the doors off the placeDr. Benjamin Carson has been doing that a lot latelyand Ted Cruz...

As the presidential election process is now configured, the only way for a conservative -not to be confused with a neocon- to win is if a change in the electoral college were to occur whereby electoral votes were to be apportioned according to percent of votes won.

Neither Republicans nor Democrats will countenance a change in the electoral college system because any such change would threaten both parties' power, which neither party will ever allow.
