Saw a brief thread on this ammo at the Ask the Gun Writer's forum but thought I'd offer my experience with it from this past season with my 700 CDL 243.
First, sight in and grouping. Nothing real special at 100yds, but at 200yds, I got a 1.5" group.
Next, opening weekend. Hog at 215yds, completely severed the spine and exited. While walking up on the pig, a buck walked out, and I blasted it too at 25-30yds, complete penetration with a 1.5" exit wound. Buck ran 50yds bleeding like a stuck pig.
80yds,another pig. Shot it in the face just below the eye and it blew out a softball sized chunk on the far side.
At 20 bucks a box, this is by no means fancy pants ammo, but I really like it. There's a guy over on Marlin owner's that swears it's the best thing ever to happen to the 30-30. For larger calibers on deer, I'm not sure if there's a noticeable difference since most are overpower already.
Anyway, if you happen across it, I'll vouch for it in 243. Really wish Winchester would offer the bullets for reloading.
