If your talking about single shots rifles and shotguns I think you mean the Savage 219 and 220.
Calibers were 25-20, 32-30, 30-30 and the 22 Hornet.

You can switch barrels on a 110 if you have the proper barrel nut wrench and headspace guages. Am I missing anything?

Wait, wait wait.
Are we all talking about vintage Savage rifles or the more modern ones?
Both the guns mentioned have interchangable barrels depending on the date of manufacture.

Hmmmm, wouldn't the bolt face and magazine be quite different for the .30-30 and .300? How's that gonna work?

Its probably just like all those fancy custom cars at the car shows. It doesn't have to run, just look good under the lights!

I could be wrong with the cals,as the owner would not let just anyone get to close to it but I did see the price tag it said inter changeable barreled savage 1899 set it looked real nice but with the big money stuff I stay far far away.

I had a Model 99 takedown with two barrels quite a few years ago that I got from an old trapper up here. One barrel was 22 Hi-Power, the other was 30-30.
It worked perfectly with either barrel and was a very practical outfit for him. He used the 30-30 on his trapline, and shot moose and bear with it. Put the 22 barrel on when he went for sheep or caribou in the mountains.
Really wish I had not sold that outfit.
Would the two barrels have been a factory job?

Coulda been, only a letter would reveal that, maybe.
At least the cartridges were similar enough to have worked OK.

You can swap Barrel between 250-300 & 243 if you have a take down
One in the hand is better than two in the bush

Gentlemen, thank you for all your replies.I was asking more in regards to a newer Savage. As some have suggested, there seems to be interchangeable calibers. Is it as easy to change calibers, as in the "Blasers", or is it more complicated. What calibre changes are available from Savage at the present time.

If you are talking about the lever guns, forget it.
The bolt guns on the other hand were built for just that. All you need is a barrel nut wrench and the headspace gauges. You can get barrels from most of the distributors.
