Trying to help a friend with a Weatherby MkV .243 with a Leupold VR 4-12 50mm and Talley Mounts. Problem is the short 30mm scope tube length and the space between the rings properly mounted will not match the distance between the bases. It would seem to need an extension ring which Talley does not offer. We will appreciate any suggestions please?

Put a Picatinny rail on the Weatherby and eliminate the issue of ring placement altogether.

Think one piece Talleys. They can be reversed to help. Jack

Thanks for the ideas. Spoke to Gary at Talley and he is sending me a reverse front base which may give us enough length. Will report next week.

Gary Turner is likely the best customer pleaser I have seen. That includes his employees.
By the way, in case you missed it, Jeremiah was a bullfrog.

Problem solved with an extended front base provided by Talley.
