I especially like what is under and in the new Corvette. The outside - not so much - looking a bit too much like several other recent but lesser "sporty" items on the road. Then again, this one sits out back - and I like it better in its own way.

...............An `013 ZO6 @ 505 HP is rated 0 to 60 by Chev on their site @ 3.7 sec.

The new C7 Vettes are rated @ 3.9 sec with 450 HP and 450 lbs of torque.

Although the Z06 is faster, 2/10ths of a second isn`t exactly pounding and smoking the new Vette into the dust.

More powerful 500+ hp engines will probably be made available in the later C7s. Cannot see Chevy not doing that.

My '98 C5 would smoke 'em both. Runs the quarter deep into the 10's...

Now, how much did Government Motors get and what do they owe?

GM repaid the loan portion of the automaker bailout ahead of schedule, with interest. It used TARP money it had already received but hadn�t spent. And taxpayers are still stuck with GM stock that isn�t worth what was paid for it.

Through the Troubled Asset Relief Program, the Treasury gave [b]GM $49.5 billion, most of which was converted into an ownership stake in the form of stock. Through this equity stake, the government still owns 61 percent of GM.[/b]

A current report issued to Congress showed that if the government were to [b]sell its position in GM, it would be at a loss of $25.1 billion to the American taxpayer.
