I went to a few stores today and they all seemed to have A LOT of 6.5x55 ammo. Lots of Nosler Custom, Federal, S&B and Hornady. I wonder why that would be?

There is also TONS of 280 Remington brass. Every store had at least 6 to 10 bags of it in various brands.

Funny, I've noticed a lot of the Nosler Custom stuff online for reasonable prices lately. Pretty attractive, especially considering it's loaded with Accubonds at decent velocities in what is supposed to be nice brass.

Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws.

Dan -

Now I have a 6.5X55, so keep that in mind.

They are NOT that popular in the USA among Joe Public.

I have NEVER bumped into 1 hunter or handloader with a Swede.

Also, where/who is selling NEW 280s?

There is 'supply' because of no 'demand'. IMO

What that really means is that those of us who have both are genuis level thinkers and those who do not, drank to much cheap beer or bad kool aid. So JWall which is your sin? Magnum Man

Thats why I try to own something in every caliber. Well, really that isn't why, it's more a mania, but it is a benefit now to be able to get something I can shoot when things get tight. Also not have to pay a fortune.

I fit in the First category. When you have a 270 you don't need a 280 and vice versa. whistle grin

What I didn't really need was a 6.5 Swede. wink but I love the rifle.

I have a tikka in 6.5 Swede. What a great shooter. Took it to the range today. My hunting load is a 130 gr Accubond.

I have a bunch of 129 gr Hornady SP that I am trying to find a load for

I saw a Rem 700 in 7mm Express in a Gun shop today. Nice classic model. Almost bought it for the nostalgia. I have a Remington XCR in 280 rem and what another great round
