Time to get fired up for spring turkey!
Making my preparation list, I may be a little anal on this stuff.
Here are my headliners:
Polish bore and chamber of shotguns Check sights Check for loose, missing damaged parts Grab favorite loads wherever and whenever available Pattern from field positions
Tune bow Replace lost/damaged arrows Practice from ground and blind shooting positions
Check decoys for operation, damage, paint Inventory and test calls Start calling practice on drive to & from work
Inventory camo clothing Pack overnight bags with wet, warm, cold selections for hunts with no notice Prep, waterproof boots, replace laces (one always breaks on way in 1st day) Check waders for leaks, straps, buckles
Buy lots of new cool stuff!! Can never have too much of this.
Anything to add and get us all thinking about April??

depending on where you're wanting to hunt here in CO., if you're hunting in a limited unit, applications are due by the 14th...of Feb.
Laws aren't preventative measures. In other words, more laws won't prevent gun crime from happening.

Sounds like you've got you're hands full. lol When does your season open? Here in NY we've gotta wait 'til May 1 but as soon as the new year hits, I'm digging through old Turkey Hunting mags to see if I've missed or forgotten anything. We're expecting 12plus inches of snow through Sat am so I'll be busy with other things! I'm lucky/cursed to hunt out the back door so the clothing thing isn't a issue but digging through the "stuff" is still fun. I wish all you guys the best of luck this spring.

Getting ready is more than 1/2 the fun!
Apps went in 2 weeks ago. Will draw a RFW hunt this year, then hunt an OTC area I've always done well in.
Then it's on the NE where the real turkeys are! Never seen more anywhere.

Can't find any supplies yet and all the ammo rebates I've seen don't kick into 2/15. But I've been thinking about it.

Forgot to add:
Blind set up and parts check
Every year I find another stake missing or a velcro fastener or something else hanging loose or missing. It's best to find this kind of stuff in the backyard, instead of the morning of the first day you use the blind.
Don't always use my blind, I like to get on the ground with the birds. Sometimes, blinds are worth the effort.
That may make a good subject for a new post.

I start the night before. Grab the same shotgun I've been using for over 20 years, same shells and my vest, which has everything I need in it from the previous season and I go hunting the next morning.

Camp is 3+ hours away and is primitive. We take lots of gear. Plus I have to outfit my daughter and wife. Therefore, I spend more time than anyone I know doing inventory and packing. This year they have new snake leggings. Should make the girls more relaxed/confident. See more snakes this time of year than any other. Good thread to get me started.

I was working near a wooded area yesterday and saw a group of 10-12 Longbeards. Gave a couple yelps, they couldn't care less yet. Still too cold and lots of snow in the woods. Pretty impressive group anyhow and the yotes didn't kill em all. Can't wait till the weather flips here.

Less than two weeks.
How I prepare is sit around the house and do nothing, I will shoot my guns one time and make sure the sights are still good. Then the day before the season starts run around like a mad man to prepare for the next month and a half of sleep deprivation.

South TX birds have been fired up for weeks. I had one gobble at a rifle shot last time I was hog hunting. Unfortunately, I may miss the first couple of weeks due to prior family plans. Wish we were going youth weekend while it was still cool.
