Mine's only a factory stock Ruger Vaquero - 45 Colt. It has black micarta Birdshead grips, blued/case colored (applied finish), a 4 5/8" barrel (uncataloged) - And it shoots like a dream.

My favorite is a much worked on 25-5. I have owned this one for probably better than 25 years now. My gunsmith made me a cylinder for shooting .45 ACP as well, so I can use that or .45 Colt.

I've had a couple of Ruger Bisley's, an FA model 97 and a S&W Mountain Gun in 45 colt, but I have settled on this as my one and only.... I traded the mountain gun for a spotting scope, the FA bit the knuckle on my middle finger too hard, Jim in Idaho talked me out of one of the Bisleys, and the other went somewhere that i don't remember.
Regards,
Tom

I had one...actually got worked into a fervor and bought one because of your book. I loved the looks but it just did not fit my hands. Down the road it went. Whitworth wrote a book?!? Gimme the title! I gots to know! Doc just click on the link and it will take you to Whitworth's book and read the complete book description as well as the reviews Whitworth's Book
I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first

USFA "Nettleton", new, unfired and unturned. Guess it'll stay that way, now that USFA isn't making revolvers anymore. Bob

I've got a Ruger Bisley 45 Colt and a Ruger Redhawk 4" 45 Colt. Both nice guns.

Probably this 357 OM conversion. Or maybe this 5 shot Bisley. Nope, this one.

damn thats a great looking 45 LC hand gun! I wish smith & wesson made something similar chambered in 480 ruger, that combo would be my personal ideal self defense gun with the right loads, Im a big fan of S&W revolvers and the 480 ruger cartridge. I have used a similar 44 mag S&W for decades but would love to use one chambered in the ruger so I could use a bit heavier bullet and still use lower pressure loads to get similar results
