What ammo are you seeing on the shelf under normal times would you not see. In Texas the 222 has always been available but to fill shelves it is seen in greater variety. The 10mm ammo is everywhere to fill space I saw 35 Whelen and 450 Bushmaster ammo in stores that never carry it. Even the 7x57 is easy to find now But today in an Acadamy Sports store they had several boxes of 4.6x30! Now that is the most obscure attempt so far to fill shelves.

Well I went looking the other day, not a box of Fusion 7mm RM or Blue Box Federal 7mm RM were to be had, but I could buy Winchester 7mm RM loaded with a BT. Its kind of huge panic here in CT and for good reason. Some really stupid stuff is coming down on us with regard to gun laws not that the laws in the State were not strict enough, they are and then some. I myself am looking to leave. I am looking for work every were but New England. I am going to be gone for good this time. I was stupid to leave Alaska in 06 for a funeral. I should not have gone.

At the local Cabela's today, they are using soft sided rifle cases to fill the empty ammo shelves. On the plus side I found 2 boxes of 6.5 Berger 130gr Hunting at pre-panic prices!
Enough already, just shoot it!

I saw two boxes each, of .17HMR and .22 WMR at the local Bass Pro shop last week. I didn't pay any attention to centerfire stuff, as I load all my own, but they DID have some unprimed .22 Hornet brass, and quite a bit of pistol brass on hand. Six pounds of powder, two each Re-7 and Re-22, one pound of IMR 4350 and something else, I don't recall, offhand, just what it was. I DID note two boxes of Hornady .22 Hornet Superformance ammo, but the shelves were bare on any other varmint stuff.
Unfortunately, I was there looking for some AA 1680, to fill the Hornet cases I already have. I have just enough to fill those cases one more time.................

It is mostly RUM and .300 WM. Some high priced '06, .270, bunch of 2 1/2 .410. No .22 RF or .17 anything. All I want is the .22, and don't need it YET. I would go for regular priced .243, .308, .38, I can and will load enough to keep me going for a long time. The first thing I will run out of is bullets, and I am not going to shoot cast anything at 3000, even if I had the mold.
There are a lot of us who can use .30-30.
Tell the Savage guys about the .303.

Couple of weeks ago at Cabela's in East Hartford, the handgun ammo was dried up except for .454 Casull and .22 snakeshot.

I saw JJ's post for electricians- I am not an electrician, I am a professional pilot both fixed and rotor wing, with over 11,500 hours logged and then some.
