If you remember Ona cooked up a waterbuck cordon bleu for us one night, and after you got the crust, cheese, and hamm off it, it still tasted like a urinal cake...

I don't how you made that comparison.....but I'm gunna take your word for it....:D

I liked all of the game meats I tried in Namibia, the standout for me was zebra. I didn't know what to expect and I was most impressed, it was very, very good..

I still salivate at the memory of a springbok carpaccio I had in Joberg..

Kudu back straps, impala and gemsBoch followed by warthog chops. All fixed on the Brie with fresh bread, salad and some type of baked tubers.

Duiker was a favorite of mine, made into little shish-ka-bobs that evening.

One of my other favorite meals on my trip and by far the most impressive was sable lasagna cooked in a fire pit. Apparently the cook dug a hole that morning when we set out from bush camp and filled it with hot coals, put the covered lasagna tin in, then more coals on top and cooked it all day. Did not expect lasagna, even less so when there was no oven!

The fresh baked bread was always a treat too.

I like the nuts, I ate the nuts off everything. Buffalo, bushbuck, impala, puku...and I would have ate the nuts off the croc if I could have found them.

I always eat elk and venison nuts. Actually the true Rocky Mountain Oysters. It always grosses everyone out. If you enjoy Texas Calf Fries like I do, you will really like the nuts off just about anything. If I ever get to Africa, I will eat the nuts off everything. I take that back, I will definately not eat anything off a baboon.

We had some awfully tasty impala strips around the fire the night we shot ours. That was half the reason that I shot one after my brother shot his - I wanted more tasty impala strips!
