Looking to buy either a Surgeon 1086 action or a Bighorn Arms SR2 action.
Either a magnum boltface or a .473 boltface will work.
These are like finding a needle in a hay-stack right now, especially the Surgeon 1086 action!!!!

I talked to AJ a few weeks back and he is going to ship some out to Third Generation in a little while. You may want to keep looking on their website and see when they receive some Bighorn actions.

Talked to Third Generation today - they are expecting some BigHorn TR2's (tactical actions) shortly, but I am looking for the Bighorn SR2 (sporter action).

Check out bat machines hr pic action that is what I would get I have one & built a .300WM on it - they are awesome actions but they are tight!! I have some concern with these tight tolerances & dirt from in the field. Bighorn is getting some VERY good reviews from guys using them!!

I have some concern with these tight tolerances & dirt from in the field. Bighorn is getting some VERY good reviews from guys using them!! they do have a tactical action that is coated to help. I have the VR action. I think the spiral fluted bolt helps alot. I have never had any issue with mine being too tight and I have purposely waiting to wipe it off to see how long it would go. I don't think its any different than a factory remington or even a ruger. all bolt actions need a wipe down every so often.

I sent another SR2 to Jon Beanland this week and this one arrived yesterday. I may be crazy, but it seems these SR2 feel a little smoother than the original Bighorns, which are still incredibly smooth. This action will also go to Beanland whenever the stock arrives and that will be around two more months. This most recent action will be used for a 22-243 with an 8 twist Brux.

Jon Beanland does great work!!
I talked to AJ Goddard & he's currrently not taking any more orders - he said he will let his vendors sell his actions so he can concentrate on making them!!
I keep looking at his vendors - they have not received any yet, but expect them sometime here in the next month or so.
If you hear of an extra somewhere, please give me a shout!!
