Seems like I remember seeing somewhere on here that you can't or shouldn't shoot lead through a Glock barrel? Any other semi autos that should not get fed lead?

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

Glocks have polygonal rifling making lead a no-no I've heard. Cue the guy who is gonna say "I've shot X-bazillion lead rounds and never had a problem!" I believe it causes extreme leading that leads to pressure problems.

I sure hope it's okay to shoot lead in M&P's. I've shot a bunch in my 45.

It is perfectly OK to shoot lead through a Glock barrel. If you are worried, check the bore every 50 rounds or so for buildup.

There are lots of forum myths cycling around and around - this is one of them.

Here's the best thread on the subject I've found - read and learn

Don't shoot lead in polygonal rifling. Glocks have it, dunno about M&Ps.

would be nice if Glock posted a warning on their website. Back when I liked the 40 I had two 23's that I shot cheap gun show lead reloads out of them all the time, and then someone ruined it and told me they would blow up.

I'm one of those that shoots lead bullets in my Glocks. However they are mostly my cast bullets that tend to be harder than store bought lead bullets. I've never seen a leading problem yet. To me the bigger worry is the unsupported case head in Glocks.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost....
