Hello,
Can anyone recommend a gunsmith to put a barrel liner in my rolling block? Right now it's a 8x58R Danish Krag, but I would like a liner put in for either .25-20 or .25-35. I thought about rebarreling it (and I still might), but I like the matching serial numbers on the gun, it has more of a sense of history that way.

Thanks

John

It may have a more sense of history. but if you re line all collector value will be gone. if you must do something re barrel it and keep the original barrel to put back on..or sell or trade it to me for a shooter of some sort..savage 99 etc...

Get it rebarreled, and restamp the serial numbers on the new barrel. To the casual observer, it'll look fine.

Dennis Olsen (or Olson) can reline high pressure rifles. Do a search here or at accuratereloading.com

I talked to a couple of gunsmiths today, and it looks like relining isn't an option. Looks like I'll rebarrel it instead.

Thanks for the input.
