I own/owned both, I still own a 2240. More after market parts for 2240 which means you can also turn up the power and make it into what you want. You can't do that with the EB. You can keep the 2240 as a pistol, or turn it into a carbine/rifle. You can't with the EB.
Here's what I did to mine, not a stock looking pistol anymore, and it's accurate out to 50 yards. And it has good power to boot.
It's a lot more fun to build what you want and turn it into something that's not generic as the EB.
