I sold my AR so now I need a rifle for prairie dog season coming up. I am looking for a bolt action heavy barrel in 204 Ruger. I have not decided which make and model I want to go with yet so let me know what you have. I have cash burning a hole in my pocket and I figured y'all could help with that problem. Thanks

I have a custom built Rem 700 Heavy SS barrel, Holland firing pin and spring, two oz trigger in a Lee Sixes BR stock. I'll include Leupold base not rings or scope. Shoots 40 gr factory ammo inch 5-shot groups at 200 yards. Reloads much better. Barrel is put on with a nut like a Savage. Shot on one sage rat trip. Approx. 500 rounds. Nosler brass. $650 you pay shipping. If you want more pictures email me. delmartinearthlink.net

mow1954, thanks for the offer but I am looking for a heavy barrel, not sporter weight.

mudder700, thanks you also but I am looking for a heavier barrel and don't want all camo.

40XBR, how hard would it be to drop that action into a different stock. Also whats the barrel length?

Thanks everyone.

I have a Tikka T3 that Jim Kobe re-barreled for me to 204 Ruger. It's not a real heavy barrel but the 204 doesn't need a real heavy barrel. I shot it on a pd hunt last summer in MT and it shot very well.
Cleaned properly during the evening and stored in my safe since. I sent it off to be cerakoted (black) and had the bolt done in a ceramic finish by Chaos Arms in Iowa. They did an excellent job. I also have a couple of extra mags (6 round). It's excellent plus and has only had factory ammo shot through it.
I will say less than 300 rounds.
I can take photos and send them if you wish. pm me with your email address.
I also have a Ruger #1V that I can sell. I bought it from a guy here but havent fired it due to winter.

I must apologize, my Tikka is a left handed rifle. I completely forgot to mention it.
