Hey Pat, what's this rifle weigh in at?
And are you using the Horn New Dimension dies for your 6mm Creedmoor? I'm thinking about it for a rebarrel..... Tanner, stay the course. I almost deviated too, but I'm back on track!
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

Just got back from the Lonestar Shoot in Texas, Won the Long Range Portion with my 6.5 4S Saum. its got 3300+ rounds on it and still shoots in the .3's its lost about 100 FPS since initial chamber with same load. Absolutly a great LR caliber with very little Recoil. Im bringing this rifle to the Icebreaker to finish it off and retire this barrel!! I get it goes 4000

Congrats on the match. Didn't realize you posted on here, George. I would welcome you here but you've been here longer than me. But anyway, howdy from the Lone Star State......

I was shooting and testing the 140gr Berger Hybrids. I was holding 1.1 mils left for wind to make hits on a 12" circle. My brother was shooting his .308 with 155 scenars at 2950fps. He needed 2.4 mils holdoff to hit the same plate. Shooting that rifle is like cheating.

all learning is like a funnel: however, contrary to popular thought, one begins with the the narrow end. the more you progress, the more it expands into greater discovery--and the less of an audience you will have...

I think I know what my 7WSM will be rebarrelled to when I shoot it out...

Pat have you, or anybody you know shot any game with the 140 hybrids? I see lots of conflicting reports, but tend not to believe everything I read. I much prefer reports from people in the know.
Also have you tried any 130 jlk's in it yet?

I think I know what my 7WSM will be rebarrelled to when I shoot it out... i'm thinking the 6.5 SAUM might be what many hoped the 6.5/284 would be, though I think the improved barrel life may have more to do with modern powders than any magic in that chambering.

Maybe I missed it somewhere in here... Is the reamer for this cartridge available to be purchased? If so, from whom? This caliber just went to the top of my build list, after my next .284 Win
I should have just bought a [bleep] T3...
