I called Nanchez Shooting supply and recording said "you are number 56 in line, please hold" I tried Graff & Sons, stayed on hold for 30 minutes then hung up. Even tried Wideners, phone was busy all day. Some crazy [bleep] going on.....I think our government has turned everyone's home into a fire hazard with the amount of powder/ammo people are buying.

So why not just check their sites? I do online ordering 100% of the time. Needed CS this time. Just nuts to hear a recording I'm #56 inline .

Also nuts to scroll through page after page of bullets, brass, and ammo, seeing only "out of stock". Ordered a few big-game bullets today from Grafs, just because I'll need them in 4 or 5 months and it was a fluke that they were in stock now. 3-4 weeks processing.....

Been buying what I might need as I find it in stock. Not lots but some.

It's going on longer at this point than I expected it would. Maybe this fall there will be a little relief. I think it will also help when the news headlines about the Senate's gun control shenanigans are gone.

If you haven't got enough put away to last a year, you could be in trouble.

Yep. I needed a few odds and ends bullets for fall/winter and that included some .22cal TSX's. Anything that can run through a 223 is tough to find now and likely will be for a while. I nabbed a few boxes of 62gr TSX's, which is what I use, and I think they were the only .22cal X bullets in stock. Midway was wiped out of all varieties. I thought hunting bullets might be safe from the hoarding, but apparently not in certain calibers.
Got plenty of rifle brass, powder, and primers, but am low on some defensive handgun carry ammo selections. Am likely SOL on that front. Hardball is better than nothing......

I got an email from Midway a few days ago that they had Nosler 64gr 22cal bonded bullets in stock. I ordered 500.

Slg888: I don't buy much in the way of reloading components through the mail from the sources like you mention, but I am in agreement with you on the face to face unavailability of reloading components at stores and shops! Its getting worse. I am pessimistic about the situation improving any time soon. And thats a shame. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

I agree with all of you!! I realized about 1 month ago that this one is going to last a while, so now I watch the classifieds here and I am buying the things I need as I see them, provided the price is right, just basically spending lots of time watching the threads for stuff.
I would be pleased IF it ended by DEC.

I received an email from Midway today at 3:17 that Lapua 308 brass was in stock. While checking out at 3:33 with said brass, one-shot, and a few other things, an "out of stock" notice came up in the cart for that very brass.

I would be pleased IF it ended by DEC. Same here, but I saw it coming a lot sooner than some and have a good stock of brass and bullets I picked up on the classified at reasonable prices. I pretty much have a lifetime supply for all the familys hunting needs already loaded, and actually have a surplus on some things, but running short of powders

Every few days I stop at the local shops to check availability and it is bleak! This is the time of year I like to develope and test loads and have never been in this situation before. Still doing okay with what I have but worry about using it and being unable to replace. Good luck to all and hope this changes SOON!!!

An obvious windfall for the component, ammunition and firearms manufacturers...they need to get it in gear!

Some may call it "hoarding" but I started stocking up about midway thru the anointed one's first term and should be OK thru his second. I just hope the Country wises up before another election or we (shooters and hunters) may be in for a long dry spell.

Relatively easy to find powder here, but primers and some component bullets are scarce. Guess most people here are too busy working to hoard stuff.
It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.
