Stress relieved and brought to Austenite temp. Forced air is blowing in the background.

Quenching with forced air and aliuminum plates. It takes 5 to 8 seconds from almost 2000 degree were you can handle the blades.


Well start liquid nitrogen and temper cycles. Heat treat and grind is everything. Proper heat treating on 154cm is a surface thay feels almost soft while it is being sharpened. When you sharpen you can feel the smooth polishing of the bevels. Heat treating is very easy if you follow the directions. Don't follow the moon phase, dip in monkey piss while holding your left leg up!

Gotta love those WIP pic's! Rick is the man, Helluva knifemaker and a even better friend. Vince is the best, Don't make them like that anymore. Dennis is just the "MAN" the best there is! I need to come on here more often. Maybe I could get a knife...lol.
