Definitely, I expanded my Trangia herd and added some accessories. smile

They really are a little wonder and I have no idea why they aren't more popular here.

Hard not to love the trangia. I've looked at your whisperlite a few times just can't imagine giving up the trangia!

It's sold.

But yea the Trangia is as close to a perfect cooking system as you can get.

I don't think I could compare an alcohol stove to a Whisperlite but maybe I'm missing something.

You can get an adapter and run them on canister gas or white gas. It's a pretty darned nice set up.

Well, the Trangia is primarily an alcohol stove system, but alcohol is really slow for groups or for snow melting. If you get the gas adapter, the Trangia becomes a first class cooking system: stable, windproof, and controllable. It's a bit heavier and bulkier than other systems, but you can really control cooking temperatures, and it all but laughs at wind.
