Just had a great customer service experience w/ Taurus...who'd have thunk?

Think their new president is cleaning house in that long standing problem area of theirs.

Been having trouble w/ a revolver since 2001. It'd been back to Taurus 6 times in the first 6 months I had the gun and never really fixed right.

A few years ago I heard Bob Morrison, the old president, on Gun Talk, so I wrote him about my problem w/ the revolver and got no reply. WHen I heard Taurus got a new president, I sent him a letter w/ the backup info on the problem. Three days later I get a personal call from a great lady in Customer service.

SHe got me a fed ex order to ship the gun in and it was fixed perfectly and sent back in a little over two weeks. She called every week to let me know how things were going...plus they now have a website to track the repair progress.

I've griped about their customer service in the past, but now gotta give them the credit due.

Good to hear! I had a problem with a Casull of their's several years ago. Sent it in and they declined to correct the issue. I liked the revolver enough to try another, and it is fine. But even so, this is good to know!

We may know the time Ben Carson lied, but does anyone know the time Hillary Clinton told the truth?

What was the problem with it, out of curiosity?

Yesterday, the first couple times I went to my computer's homepage, the news headline about the start of Taurus grabbed my attention... until I realized they were talking astrology. grin

I have a Ti Tracker and the cylinder was rubbing the forcing cone, scraping it up along 3 of the 5 chambers. Ti does not lend itself to buffing out...plus the factory puts some sort of magic coating on the cylinder and the manual advises against using any abrasive cleaners as it would weaken the metal.

Taurus either gave me a new cylinder or smoothed out the old one and recoated it. Plus the got the cylinder gap set perfectly.

Did this at Rossi's repair center in Tulsa.

There is a reason they still use a Bull as their trademark...
