just got my release in today..its the tru fire edge foldback release...is it just me or is this thing incredibly short...i have to arch my hand back bigtime and then to pull the lever down its like my middle finger is in the way...i have pretty small hands too ...im kind of new to bowhunting but are they supposed to be like that?

Do you have the jaws at the outer end of the center shaft? You should have about two inches of in/out adjustment.
I'll try and post a picture later, I've got catcher mitts, and it fits good for me.

I bought the same release last season and it was very hard for me to get adjusted to. It is indeed short compared to my old release. However, I shoot much more consistently with the new release and after lots of practice, I am comfortable with it now. As AH64guy said, there is a lot of adjustemnt on the release. Mine has a small hex head set screw and it simply screws out or in for length adjustment. You can make it longer if you prefer but you might want to shoot it for a while to see what works best for you. My only issue was getting the release on the string. After it was there, my anchor point has always been fine. I also love the foldback feature on the release as I can dig in my backpack or even climb in and out of a stand without having to stow the release away. I hope it works out for you.
