I always wondered why this didn't happen more often.

Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you a hunting license and that's pretty close.

I've seen/heard about bears climbing to or close to a stand.

I saw a hunting show where, when the hunter got to his stand, a bear was ALREADY in his stand.

I've never seen a bear climb that FAST.

THNX for this video. A very good laugh.

I've seen an excerpt of this before, the part where the bear climbs the tree. I have to wonder if the bear was used to people. Otherwise I can't see it getting that close without getting wind of the guy.

I'm guessing the other bear trying to eat him was his motivation for not caring who else was in the tree at the time.

C'mon Mike. You know brown bears can't climb trees. That sow jumped 14 feet or so.

Besides, he never did show us pictures, so how can we believe him? I mean, who in the world wouldn't take time to take authenticating pictures while shooting a brown bear in the forehead that's coming up between one's feet. I mean, really! smile

Consistent with my experience with northern SK in the spring. I have had them just under my feet, NOT above me!!!

One of my buddies had to stop hunting a stand because a little boar was constantly coming up after him and he did not want to shoot it.

My view is that the bears knew we were there, they were young boars trying to guard their food source. These bears also have little human exposure.

Yes, that was very strange.
