Brownells also sells a leather covered foam rubber one in different heights that i have on several rifles. Way less bulky than the one shown yet the proper height can be reached. The glue isn't the greatest so i use Barges leather glue. Fred

Guys I work with are forever building pads on their guns using foam strips and Coban. It's heinous ugly but it will allow you to determine what height you need, if any.
I'd be more inclined to install a Karsten adjustable cheek piece.

This. When you get it, make sure you have your scope mounted as LOW AS IT WILL GO. Then snap the cheekrest in place over your stock. Keep raising it with homemade shims until you see a shadow at the bottom of your view that will intersect the crosshairs. Then raise it up until this is reversed, IE, you'll then have a black cresent shaped shadow at the TOP of your field of view that touches the crosshairs. Measure these two shims, the value between the two will place your eye in the optical center of that scope on that rifle. Not getting your eye behind the optical center can cause bad things to happen, even with a parallax-ajustable scope, at long range. This will change a tad with different shooting positions. I'd start with prone as the standard and see how it affects other positions.

Take_a_knee,
You made a fun post there.
Years ago I got hammered by an STW I made. (It was a 7MM Coyle Wildcat back then.) I made a large flat place in the stock where my face was going to be and glued a big piece of balsa wood there. After throwing up the rifle I noticed what you are talking about and carved a little of the balsa. This was repeated until I was looking right through the center of the scope. Then I slopped it away toward the front so that upon firing it the rifle moved away from my fact. Then I stained and finished it to match the walnut stock.
Later I noticed Weatherby is close to what I made. It works the same for me, so I now have an extremely light Weatherby in .257SLR.

I've got this on both my prairie dog rifles. They're reasonably priced ($16.99 at sportsman's warehouse) and work well, plus they cushion the cheekpiece. A bit of a pain to put on, but once they're on they work great. http://www.beartooth-products.com/shop/vmchk/comb-raising-kits.html
