This is the last meadow they feed in before heading up the mountain. I hate my cheap camera. It makes everything seem farther away. I was within 35 yds.

It's facing east from Buena Vista. Not the mountains they go up. That's at my back. It's the only angle I could get close.

I'd guess Buffalo too.

Saw 2 cow elk up in San Juan NF, north side of the plateau above Dolores this weekend.

First time we'd been up there - beautiful country.
